Smoothies are such a fun, summery drink that’s amazingly healthy too. I don’t know about you, but even though I try, I know I’m not getting enough greens in my life. Since I’m trying to improve this, I figured why not create some tasty green smoothie dog treats while I’m at it?!
This awesomely healthy green smoothie recipe makes a delicious treat for you and your dog! When the heat is on outside, it’s important to keep your pup cool. These yummy frozen dog treats help keep your pup cool and provide a fun activity! If you don’t have a silicone mold yet, you can grab this adorable dog treat mold here.

Healthy & Tasty Green Smoothie Dog Treat Recipe

servingsIngredients
1 Banana
1 golden delicious apple
1 cup parsley
1 cup spinach
1 cup water
- Optional smoothie for humans
¼ cup plain Greek yogurt
6 ice cubes
Items needed
- Food processor
- Treat Molds
- Cutting board and knife
- Cookie sheet
- Liquid measuring cup or squeeze bottle
- Directions
- Step 1: Cut banana into sections
Step 2: Cut apple into chunks
Step 3: Cut parsley leaves off of the stems
Step 4: Add spinach to food processor and blend.
Step 5: Add parsley to food processor and blend.
Step 6: Add apple to food processor and blend.
Step 7: Add banana to food processor and blend.
Step 8: add water & pulse. Add more if needed to make it thin, or add greek yogurt and ice to thicken for your own treat!
Step 9: Pour liquid into a smaller pourable container.
Step 10: Pour liquid into molds
Step 11: Freeze over night
Step 12: Watch your dog/dogs enjoy a nice healthy summer treat. - Notes
- Put your silicone molds on a cookie sheet first for easy movement
Make sure you have a location in the freezer cleaned out that the cookie sheet will fit.
Use a relatively light weight easy to handle pourable cup for pouring the liquid into the molds, because you are aiming for such a small area.
These treats melt pretty fast!
